Marcelle Maginnis
Therapy

Helping women and couples find solid ground when life gets shakey.

I work with women and couples moving through major life transitions — new parenthood, grief that hasn't loosened its grip, relationships under strain. My clients are often insightful, capable people who've realized thinking harder, doing more, or simply holding things together with a white-knuckled grip isn't helping anymore.

I'm Marcelle, a Resident in Counseling in Arlington, VA. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in methods backed by high-quality evidence.

Not sure which of these fits? That's common — most people come in with some combination.

Getting Started

1

Schedule a free consult

We'll start with  a brief call, not a commitment. It's a chance to learn about my practice, answer any questions you might have, and collaboratively assess whether it feels like a good match.

2

Show up as you are

In the first few sessions, I'll learn more about you, and you'll get a feel for how I work. The relationship between client and therapist is the single strongest predictor of whether therapy helps, so it's worth taking time to figure it out.

3

Tailor a treatment plan

Once we have a clear picture of what's going on, we'll build a plan around it — one structured enough to provide a path forward and flexible enough to adjust and refine as we go.
